Pre-requisites:
- You should have an Admin role inside your Freshdesk
- Your TikTok account should be a Business type. To switch your Personal account to a Business one, please follow these steps:
> In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom
> Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy
> Tap Account
> Tap Switch to Business Account, then follow the instructions provided to switch your account type
Installation:
1. Install OAPPS Comments for TikTok from Freshdesk Marketplace.
2.
- your API key, which can be found in your profile settings (screenshots below);
- your Freshdesk subdomain name (without freshdesk.com and https parts, just the name);
- your e-mail;
- Freshdesk mandatory fields (if you have)
Click on "Save" first and only then on "Install".
5. Next, click on "Connect new account" and complete the steps below:
5.1. Press "Continue with TikTok". Give the app permissions to access your TikTok account - you'll be redirected back to Freshdesk after clicking Authorize:
5.2. You can enable "Upload comments from the last 24 hours". If disabled, only comments created after the integration is set up will generate tickets in Freshdesk.
5.3. Enter your Account name.
5.4. Enter the e-mail which will be used for notifications in case of downtimes.
6. You can add tags and a ticket subject prefix to your Freshdesk tickets that are generated from your TikTok account:
Remember to save the applied changes at the end.
The app will start scanning your account for video comments within next 15 minutes.
